INCEPTION papers in IFAC Symposium ACA'19

May 22, 2019

Cranfield University is going to host the 21st IFAC Symposium on Automatic Control in Aerospace (ACA’19) between 27-30 August 2019 (link). The INCEPTION team organizes a special session focused on Nonlinear Flight Control, Envelope Prediction and Protection Techniques for Flight Safety.

This special session will focus on research topics that explore innovative approaches to the design of automatic flight control systems towards increased flight safety such as:

- Incremental Control

- Sensor-based Control

- Adaptive Control

- Online Identification

- Envelope Prediction

- Envelope Protection.

INCEPTION team have submitted several papers to the Conference and they have been accepted for publication. They are the following:

  • R. Cordeiro, J. R. Azinheira and A. Moutinho, "Addressing Actuation Redundancies in Incremental Controllers for Attitude Tracking of Fixed-Wing Aircraft",
  • A. Gabrys, R. Steffensen, R. Cordeiro, J. R. Azinheira, A. Moutinho, F. Holzapfel, "Integration of Phase Plane Flight Envelope Protections in Cascaded Incremental Flight Control”,
  • D. Ignatyev, H.-S. Shin and A. Tsourdos, "Two-Layer On-line Parameter Estimation for Adaptive Incremental Backstepping Flight Control for a Transport Aircraft in Uncertain Conditions",
  • B.-J. Jeon, M.-G. Seo , H.-S. Shin and A. Tsourdos, "Closed-loop Analysis with Incremental Backstepping Controller considering Measurement Bias".
